how to make a lot of dark eye makeup look good?
k so im in colorguard, and during feild season(even though thats not till fall lol) we have to wear a lot of dark eye makeing on the field so we dont look like faceless ghosts. but mine always looks bad off the field when theyre doing pictures, and the other girls always look better.
any ideas? thanks?
can you give me tips on applying it? and colors? i have fair skin and light green eyes and blonde hair…
A smokey eye look is really nice for dark colored eye makeup.

To keep the eye shadow from fading and slipping down your face, use chap stick (No menthol ones!) before applying the shadow. It acts as a primer/base, but I find chap stick lasts longer than most more expensive primers.

My guard sometimes has winged shadow, where it sweeps out and up. If you have wings, extend the chap stick as far out as you want the shadow to go.
Use waterproof eye liner and mascara. Be sure to get makeup remover to get it off when the night’s over. Or else it will clog your pores!
And finally, the last suggestion is to watch where you wipe sweat! When you do sweat, don’t rub it away. That wipes off makeup, causing it to smear and become yucky. Gently pat it off, as lame as that sounds.
A part of color guard is reapplying the thick eye shadows and other makeup. Just be sure to touch up every so often (after you perform, and right before pictures.)
Hope this helps! Happy spinning.

Instead of using all black use a dark smokey gray and blend really well with a light highlight color. Also you can do a dark brown or navy blue. Like i said just make sure you blend really well . Also use a primer to help it stay put. I suggest Urban Decay Primer Potion or a MAC Blackground paint pot for doing dark eyes

Do a smokey eye. What you could do is go to a MAC counter or Ulta or any make up store and ask them to help you come up with a good smokey eye or dark eye for colorguard, and have them teach you how to do it then you can do it great yourself!
